Slacking on the posts.
It’s almost September, and I’m slacking on the posts, but I am back! Perhaps you can save it for your next vacation, whether it be this winter when you need a break from the cold or next summer when you’re off to flee the country. Below, You can check out what I packed for Europe.
Packing is Stressful
A few months back, Mario planned a family trip to Paris and Italy. This vacation was long overdue. Most people that I spoke to weren’t rushing to get out of the country, and in my mind, that meant fewer tourists where we were going! The fewer tourists, the less pandemic drama!
For me, packing is something I can NOT stand. While it’s exciting knowing we were hopping on a plane soon, the process is stressful for me. I pack for three, me, Mario and Sasha. I get the suitcases from the attic about six to seven days in advance. Two of the days are spent with me walking by them and giving them the infamous eye roll. I have to build up the motivation even to unzip them!
I have NO clothes
I have No clothes for vacation. I’m a gym rat! Shopping for clothes is my second dreaded task. I don’t like trying things on, and I’m incredibly picky! I refuse to dress in TRENDY outfits. My style is more timeless and classic. tIt was time to get some fun outfits!
My Wardrobe Capsule
Last year I purchased a clothes rack for my side hustle. I kept it when we moved because it is so pretty. While I have a huge walk-in closet, I thought I could use this rack as a capsule for things like a vacation. One place that I could hang outfits that would be in my sight. I keep it in my office. Here is the one I purchased.

I Need More Outfits
Now, most of you are smart about color schemes and limiting the number of things you pack. For each day, I like to have three outfits. Packing for Sasha has gotten easier and doesn’t require diapers and baby stuff. Thank the Lord! Mario is the easiest and packs the least amount of clothes.
FIRST STOP
We flew into Paris for two days. We didn’t mind! Who wouldn’t want to see the Eiffel Tower up close?! Those posts are up next! Fashion first! The weather was fabulous. We missed a week’s worth of rain, thankfully!
All three outfits were colorful, light, loose, and comfortable.

Au Revoir Paris!
Two days is ost certainly NOT enough time to explore this DREAMY and gorgeous city! It was time to move on, though.
Sicily, here we come!
We hopped back on the plane but this time, only for three hours to Catania. The flight was a breeze compared to the flight from NY to Paris! Traveling and flying required me to dress light and casual. At the airport, our driver met us outside, took our luggage, and gave us water. Mario sat in the front and spoke to him the whole ride. Sasha and I were in the back admiring the beauty and enjoying the translation from the driver to Mario to us. Because it was past dinner time and getting late, we ate at the hotel overlooking the beach. Our journey through Sicily began the next morning… AFTER MY 5:30 am. WORKOUT!
My Outfits
Between Zara, JCrew, and some local boutiques in my town, I was able to stay away from BLACK and get out of my comfort zone. I tried to buy things that I normally wouldn’t think of wearing like the silk pajama pants, which ended up being stunning!
