Slay The Day!

Quite busy the last few days, I have to play catch-up this week with some recipes and posts. My little love bug turned seven today! I’m still in disbelief that seven years have flown by. I feel as though I was pregnant, just yesterday!
Such A FUN Run!
Today’s run was fun. What I like most about interval runs with inclines and speed is that you aren’t running the same speed the whole time. You are running inclines for a minute but then you’ll drop to a quick walk for a minute. This allows your body to continually be challenged. I love it most because I can feel my glutes and abs working hard on the incline runs!

LOVING The Resistance Bands Lately
When the run was done, I felt the endorphin release, which helped to push me through the workout. I’ve noticed that running has really helped to shape my arms. I never had an issue with my arms, but I am looking for a more sculpted defined look these days. I have been experimenting with lighter weights (not too light) and higher reps. You may have noticed a lot of band work in my workouts lately. I LOVE using bands. I feel like they hit my muscles in ways that heavy dumbbells are barbells don’t. Perhaps it’s a woman thing, who knows. I’m sort of obsessed with them lately! If you’re still looking for large bands, check these out. You can also get these ones or these ones.
