Hello October!

I feel like it was just February! Where has this year gone? Okay, don’t answer that question. We all know the answer or answers to that one!
More Celebrations!
So here we are, another new month. October is another celebratory month for us at my house. It’s my husband’s birthday month, and it’s our daughter’s seventh birthday! Sasha was counting down the days as of September first, mind you. She won’t be having a party this year for obvious reasons, but we will make sure her day is extra special. She is such a sweet kind and empathetic little soul who is a beautiful mix of myself and Mario.
In Fitness News
I’ve had a pretty good week of interval runs and workouts. I’m sharing Thursday’s workout and run with you today. The run was not bad. I ran at the gym I manage. I had a mask on, but kept pulling it off my nose so I wouldn’t pass out! It ended up being an excellent, challenging run, and the workout was fun.

This Run Is Effective!
While I didn’t conquer a six-mile run, I hit those inclines, which is excellent for maintaining or building glute muscle. I don’t want to lose my glute muscle. My glutes are on the small side, still high and round, but small. If you look at a marathon runner’s body, they are super lean and on the skinnier side. My goal is more of a sprinters body but on a smaller scale.
Thursdays Workout
Here is what you need for this workout:
- booty bands
- dumbbells
- a weighted plate (optional)
- something to step up on
- pull up bar (or TRX)
- Barbell
- some place to do your dips
