Back at it! Back to School for Sasha and back to work for me, which means this chick is up way earlier than I care to be! I guess if I were sleeping eight solid hours a night without being woken up by snoring, I’d be fine. Truth is, I love getting up super early, before everyone. I have some time to quietly think about my day, get some things done without distractions, and be in the moment with my inulin coffee.

Have The Best Day Ever!
During the week, we are in the car on our way to school by 7:20 am. We arrive at school by 7:43, on a car line where the kids can’t go inside until 7:45. We kiss goodbye, I tell Sasha to have the best day ever and that I love her. I love watching her go into school. She is so happy to be back with her friends! These kids NEED the socialization aspect of school, not to mention their education!
My Me Time!
Once I pull away, I try to listen to a podcast. I have a few favorites and lately have heard some awesome ones. I LOVE The Skinny Confidential, Ed Mylett, Oprah’s Super Soul Conversations, Habits + Hustle, and Leveling Up with Natalie Jill. That’s where I get into a business mindset as well as some inspiration to better myself. I’m always trying to learn more, whether about business, life relationships, kids, or myself. You can find a post I did way back on these podcasts so you can check them out.
I’m NO Social Butterfly
I’m not actually back to work 100% yet, I’m only working twice a week in the mornings. On those mornings, I need to be “ON” if you know what I mean. I need to be upbeat, on point with client workouts, and ready to be the best trainer I can. I always make sure I bring the best version of ME when seeing clients. I love my client time. Sadly, it’s the only time I have in my life to be social. We don’t go out to dinner with friends, we don’t go out for drinks, we never have. So, I cherish the hour I spend with each of them when I am with my clients.
I Don’t Workout For Hours Anymore!
Thankfully, I have set up my schedule to do my run workouts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so that Tuesday and Thursday, I have my clients. Run days are brutal for me, so I need to get them done as early as possible. Working out with weights is something I can be flexible with. My body adapts to those workouts easily. Most days, I train with weights, I’m only lifting for about an hour TOPS, whereas, before COVID, I would be in the gym hauling ass for anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours. I was definitely overtraining. The good news is that my joints never hurt anymore, my body is tighter than before and I’m more defined.

Track Your Life
Looking back on videos and pics of myself a year ago, I was also much thicker and remember feeling super bloated and blah! It’s incredible how you can change your body if you keep track of what you’re doing, how you’re feeling, and what you’re eating. These days, I feel lean, light, athletic, and so NOT bloated! Being home from March through well, August, I have done so much research, experimenting, and trying new things to share with you.
Don’t Ignore Your Body
You’ve GOT to be your own advocate. My advice is to stop following what everyone else is doing, eating, drinking, or working out. You know your body better than anyone else. Don’t ignore it. Pay attention to things like bloating, breakouts, weight gain, hair loss, etc. With that being said, whatever I share on my blog, or IG or FB or SC, I share working for me. I would NEVER tell you that you SHOULD or SHOULD NOT do what I am doing. My job and passion are to share what I know, what I learn, and my wisdom on fitness, food, and life.
I’ll be posting more videos and recipes now that I’m basically a full time mama! A job I always dreamed of!
