I know you catch a glimpse of my life on my social media. I bet there are some things about me you don’t know. Perhaps, this would be an excellent way! Ever wonder how someone begins their day? A morning with me definitely requires alone time, coffee and a protein-filled breakfast!
This may surprise you
Would it surprise you that I love to listen to contemporary and classical music? Ever since Sasha was born, I’ve been in love with artists such as Yiruma, Mike Strickland, and the Piano Guys. Something so soothing about listening to the piano while I am cooking, cleaning, or laying with Sasha while she falls asleep.
Rise and shine
Every morning during the week, my alarm is set to 5:30. My husband tries to get me to stay in bed, but this mama has work to do! I LOVE coming downstairs when he leaves, and Sasha is still sleeping. I drink my seawater, (a post for later) take my probiotics, and make my coffee. With my hot coffee on the table and my notebooks open, I write out all of my clients’ programs. Once the caffeine hits my brain, it’s GO time! One thing I will tell you is that when it comes to coffee, this is my only cup for the day. I can’t drink cups and cups of coffee because sleep is so important.
My fuel
My breakfast is one of three. I usually rotate. Depends on how much time I have in the morning, how hungry I am. I love my protein pancakes simply because I get a whopping amount of protein with will keep me satiated for hours!
Snuggle time for Sasha
When Sasha comes down for her breakfast, we do our usual morning snuggles. She is warm and mushy like a muffin right out of the oven. I always sing “Good Morning” to her as she is coming down the stairs. Sasha eats her breakfast and, I’m doing one of three things. I’m reading to her, working in my notebooks, or cleaning the kitchen and packing our backpacks.
Daily Inspiration
Drop off at school is 8:00 am. Once I kiss Sasha goodbye, I immediately turn on my Spotify and pick a PodCast that will get my brain stimulated, motivated, and inspired for the day. My favorites are Ed Mylett, The Skinny Confidential, and Level Up with Natalie Jill. By the time I get to work to meet my first client, I am ready to give my all. I always look forward to seeing my clients, laughing with them, and making serious gains.
Time to sweat!
The best thing I do for myself every day is getting my workout as early as I can. It’s my only “me” time. You can usually find me with my Beats headphones on listening to this playlist working out around 11:00, and I’m done by 12:30, which includes a warm-up, workout, and cardio. I am very disciplined with this, and more often than not, I will cancel any other plan that I may have to squeeze in my workout. I am a much happier wife, mother, friend, and business partner once I have released those endorphins!
The morning is done
By this time, it’s about 12:30 and I am beyond hungry. I will either have something with me or I run home, jump in the shower and it’s time for a post-workout meal. I sit again in peace and quiet, reading either a motivational book or thinking about my next blog post! In another post, I will share how I spend my afternoons and evenings with the fam.
